STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Godhead

We believe in one triune God, eternally existing in three persons – Father (YHWH), Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit – coeternal in being, coeternal in nature, coequal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections (Deut. 6:4; 2 Cor. 13:14).

The Scriptures

We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New testaments to be the verbally inspired word of God, the final authority for faith and life in all areas of human behavior, including marriage, family, sexuality, morality, and ethics. It is infallible and God-breathed (2 Tim. 3:16, 17; 2 Pet. 1:20, 21; Matt. 5:18; John 16:12, 13).

Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit, and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man (John 1:1, 2, 14; Luke 1:35). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead (Rom. 3:24; 1 Peter 2:24; Eph. 1:7; 1 Pet. 1:3-5). We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God, where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry of representative, intercessor, and advocate (Acts 1:9, 10; Heb. 7:25, 9:24; Rom. 8:34; 1 John 2:1-2).

The Person and Work of Holy Spirit

We believe that Holy Spirit is an equal member of the Godhead and a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and that He is the supernatural agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling them and sealing them unto the day of redemption (John 16:8-11; 2 Cor. 3:6; 1 Cor 12:12-14; Rom. 8:9; Eph. 5:18).

We also believe in the baptism of Holy Spirit as a distinct aspect of the Christian foundational experience with the primary evidence of speaking in tongues as well as evidences such as empowerment to witness, to conquer sin and to live a holy life. Holy Spirit also gives spiritual gifts to believers for the building up and edification of the Church
(1 Cor. 12:4-11; Acts 2:1-4; 8:14-17; 19:6).

Fellowship

The Heart of The Father strongly encourages all listeners to seek Christian fellowship with a local and healthy Church body and build meaningful, authentic relationships with seasoned and new believers alike. Let’s support and build up one another as we walk with Christ (Heb. 10:24-25; Acts 2:46-47; Prov. 27:17; Rom. 12:10; Matt. 18:20).

SPIRITUAL BIOGRAPHY

Amy Hay began attending church as a small child with her family in the San Francisco Bay Area. She loved listening to the lead pastor preach about Jesus and discuss popular Bible stories during the main service to such a degree that she cried whenever her parents rerouted her to the children’s ministry. It was after one of these rerouting occasions when she invited Jesus into her heart and asked Him to fill her with His Holy Spirit.

At the age of 17, she reaffirmed her commitment to Christ and received a fresh infilling of Holy Spirit. During her twenties, she was an active and faithful member of Valley Christian Center, a Foursquare Church located in Albany, Oregon, and later His Way Ministries, a non-denominational church with ministry links to Bethel Church in Redding, CA. Both church families witnessed her exercise the spiritual gifts of prophecy, discerning of spirits, and speaking in tongues, and encouraged her to responsibly develop them.

She is currently a member of Mannahouse Church of Portland, OR, and fuels her personal spiritual growth with regular feedings from Graham Cooke’s Brilliant Perspectives Ministry, prophetic words posted on The Elijah List website, and daily prophetic devotionals from "Small Straws In a Soft Wind", by Marsha Burns, from the Faith Tabernacle of Kremmling Ministry website.

The author of three novels, she uses Christian allegory as a tool to point the way to the truth of the Word of God and lead people to Christ. Along with DJ’ing for The Heart of The Father, she is currently working on her fourth novel.
